A Different Way to Move
What began as a personal shift toward a more intentional way of living is shaped between Scandinavia and Tuscany, where quiet discipline meets a slower rhythm of life.
Nordha brings this into movement through private Pilates sessions, intimate gatherings, and experiences, designed to meet you where you are.
“Nordha feels completely unique. It’s not just Pilates, it’s the atmosphere, the pace, the way everything feels so considered. I left feeling stronger, calmer and more connected to my body.”
— Giulia R.
Behind Nordha
Raised between Norway and Sri Lanka, Sophie later lived and studied in London and New York, with work across Europe.
These experiences shaped a perspective grounded in cultures and movement. After years spent moving between places, she is now based in Florence, where Nordha continues to take shape.
-
With over a decade of training in classical ballet, alongside modern and jazz, movement has been a constant throughout her life, shaping a strong awareness of the body from an early age.
After six years working in a legal department within the Norwegian government, she found herself increasingly disconnected from the body. Pilates became a way to return to it, supporting recovery while building strength with more awareness..
She later trained in the STOTT method in Italy, developing a precise and focused approach designed to support a healthy body over time.
Pilates was often offered as a class, but without the attention to alignment or the continuity that allows for real progress. For those constantly on the move, connection can be harder to find.
Nordha was created in response to that.
Her work moves between private sessions and shared settings, bringing structure and connection into the same space, allowing for individual focus as well as moments of connection.
Our approach to wellness
-
Rooted in Pilates, each session is designed to build strength, improve body awareness and support how your body moves day to day. Controlled, fluid and considered.
-
Nordha brings movement into environments that encourage you to slow down.
From private sessions to retreats in Tuscany, the focus is on creating a sense of calm, balance and ease.
-
Movement becomes something more. A way to reconnect with your body, your surroundings and the experience itself, whether individually or shared.
